The days of hawking and selling crisp naira notes may be over, as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, have arrested four suspects in connection with the trade.
The CBN’s Enforcement Committee on the Abuse of the Naira, in a joint operation with the Police, raided many locations in the FCT between Wednesday and Thursday.
The operation, which was carried out around Dei-Dei, Jabi and other locations, led to the recovery of One Million, Seven Hundred and Thirteen Thousand, Two Hundred Naira.
More revelations have emerged on the real reason music star, Innocent Ujah Idibia, otherwise known as 2face canceled his planned nationwide protest.
2baba shocked many of his fans when he took to his Instagram page to announced the cancellation of the much-talked about protest, citing security concerns.
However, findings by DAILY POST reporter revealed that his mother, Mrs. Rose Idibia was behind the cancellation of the protest.
The singer had announced few weeks ago that he would be leading other entertainers to a nationwide protest to draw the attention of the relevant authorities to the untold hardship the current administration has subjected the nation to.
Following the announcement, the federal government warned him to rather express his grievances via a national broadcast instead of organizing a protest at a time the security situation in the nation was unstable.

The Lagos State police command had also vowed to stop the protest, claiming that the singer never took permission from them.
An insider hinted this newspaper that 2face’s mum who doubles as Vice Principal at Cherryfield College, Jikwoyi Abuja warned his son to hands off the protest.
“His mum was behind the cancellation of the protest. She was angry because 2baba (Innocent) never asked for her opinion before he went on air to announce the protest. His mother summoned him and asked him to call it off because he has nothing to gain from it, rather he would buy enemies for himself,” a source said.
If there were still any inhibitions before tonight it’s safe to say they’re gone now!
Perhaps it was Dj Waxxy’s intoxicating mix of Nigerian classics or the copious amounts of alcohol but the Housemates really went all out tonight. How much you ask? Well, this was the situation just 15 minutes into the party.
Lots of sucking face
Thin Tall Tony was so hype, leading the dancing and spreading the love! After winding and grinding on just about every single Housemate he rushed Bisola and gave her a long and passionate kiss that left her completely shocked and in awe! She stood there speechless for the rest of the song.
Dirty dancing and double crossing
Moments before the party Soma and Gifty were at each other’s throats so we were shocked to see them slow dancing just a few songs into the party. That didn’t last long however. Thin Tall Tony struck again, grinding on Gifty and kissing her neck in full view of Soma.
Gifty soon returned the favour with a sexy, lap dance before getting scooped off the floor by Kemen and engaging in some very racy humping. Needless to say, it looked like she was driving home the point to Soma that she could get any man she wanted in the House!
Gifty wasn’t the only one playing with fire tonight! Since his girl “doesn’t dance” Miyonse decided to have a go at Uriel. They slow danced to DJ Waxxy’s raggae set but their little escapade was short lived.
Tboss pulled him to the back of the Party Room and while the music was playing too loud to make out what they said it looked like he got quite the tongue lashing for his antics.
The Housemates had an amazing time (particularly ThinTallTony) and they partied like the cameras weren’t rolling. All the shyness and the reservation is melting away and as any fan of Big Brother can attest, that means we’ll soon get to see the really good stuff go down!
Nigerian Multi award winner, 2face Ididia through his Instagram page announced the cancellation of the protest in a video he posted.
“Dear Nigerians, due to security concerns and public safety consideration, I hereby announce the cancellation of the march.”
According to 2face the protest is under serious threat of hijack by interests not aligned with the ideals of the march.
While some Nigerians understood the hard decision he’s met with, some weren’t happy about the development. Read their reactions below:
A close source to the family have come out to speak about the happenings going on as a result of TBoss’ action that night.
The source claims that the family is divided over her action, some saying she is a disgrace and she always had that tendency since she left for Romania to study. While others are indifferent, saying that it is just a game and whatever she can do to be the winner of the N25 million is acceptable.
#BBNaija The source further claimed that, those (names & family ties withheld) who are disgusted about her actions are majorly from her nuclear family and have threatened to disown their relationship with her immediately the show is wrapped up.
A Nigerian online marketer and entrepreneur, Adesanya Sunday Abiodun, has revealed how he lost over 2 million naira last year through various forms of ponzi schemes.
According to the young man who has probably changed his ways, he has promised not to engage in any Ponzi Scheme again.
The total amount of money lost in year 2016 is #2,679,000
Here Is how I lost them
1. In June 2016, Paypal freezed my $3600 (the present currency value then was 280/$). They banned me because i always changé my account’s email address, so they penalized me and freezed my account for 180days. After the 180days, that is six (6) months, I tried to withdraw the money but i couldnt, even when they insisted that I must withdraw it to my bank account, i tried, all to no avail. It all failed!
But note – PayPal not a Ponzi but can send someone back to village if care is not taken
2. In October 2016, I lost $1000 (Currency value then was 530/$ ) I invested in Ponzi scheme which a friend here introduced me to; MMMunited. I initially contributed $200 worth of bitcoin to the platform, when I saw proof of their payment I invested another $1000 with them, after paying the money to them, unfortunately,my internet subscription expired, and i was not in a placé where i can stack back back my data subscription, my ATM not with me, there office closed etc. So there was Nothing i can do then and there. The next day, i hurriedly went back and subcribed my internet. To my surprise, they restricted me from the system. I tried all i could, but there was nothing I could do about it. $1000 lost just like that. I kept it to myself
3. The same October i lost $500 (the present currency value then is 540/$) A friend here which happen to be somebody I respected so much and I will continue to respect him till the end of time, introduce me to HR (Helping Revolution). He told me they are very trustworthy and excellent. That I can invest in bitcoin to double and withdraw it in 7days after investment. So because of the trust and respect I have for him i agreed to invest with them. Following that, I bought bitcoin worth $500 at the rate of 540/$, and I contributed the cash to the HR.
After 2days of my investment with HR, they turned to scammers and vanished into thin air with my money.
I couldnt believe this. But thats my story
Life goes on.
4. $700 November 2016 (Currency value then is 530/$) I lost it to mmmsouthafrica. A friend here on Facebook, introduced me to this site called mmmsouthafrica.co, He advised me to put cash in it, and I will get 150% of my capital back in under 9days, as a sharp person, I contributed $700 worth of bitcoin to this Ponzi scheme, even my friend CHIDIEBERE warned me against it, but i didnt listen to him, being a big time risk taker.
At the ninth day, i was due to cash out. Unfortunately again when i try to log in, the web link kept redirecting me to Godaddy website, which means the site has been disconnected. Therefore my money lost with it. AGAIN
5. Last venture – MMM Nigeria, I choose to contribute cash on mmm August with the entirety of 200k, I contribute this cash, and with God, I got the cash and my benefits in it.
In November, I decided to PH 500k into the MMM Ponzi Scheme. Now come December 2016. I was supposed to GH on Thursday, but due to the fact that i want my mavro to grow more i decided to GH the following week tuesday.
At the night/midnight of Monday and Tuesday, MMM Nigeria solidify everyone Account from getting help, this is how i lost my #500k.
In conclusion, I lost all this money last year between October to November which is like 3 months ago
