Yearly, the local government of Muzzafarpur, India face serious rates of fatality as hundreds of children die due to a previously unidentified reason.
During mid-May to June, hospitals were filled of young patients suffering from seizure and brain swelling after waking up in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, half of them die from the condition.
Recently, Idian researchers found out the reason of their tragic death – the lychee fruit. According to ‘I F*cking Love Science’, these kids consume too much of the fruit on an empty stomach. Since lychee produce a certain kind of toxin which is called hypoglycin, they experience hypoglycemia. This is a condition where their blood sugar is relatively low. Hypoglycin stops the body from producing glucose. This causes them to lose appetite and eventually experience seizures which prove to be fatal.
Researchers deployed by US Centers for Disease Control and the National Centre for Disease Control, India, found out that lychee fruits caused their death because it coincided with the fruit’s yearly harvesting season. The victims of this distressing illness are mainly children coming from those in the poorest socioeconomic backgrounds. They found out that these children cannot afford decent meals and so they resort to picking and eating lychee fruits with their empty stomachs. Since they consume too much of it, their bodies become exposed of the high production of its toxin.
In response to this tragic event, Indian health officials took action to secure everyday meals for these poor children. They also restricted the number of lychees they can consume. As a result, there was a drastic cut in the reported cases, from a hundred deaths per year to only 50 at the most.

“I was scared, so, I told them that I could not detonate any explosive. So, they said if Zainab detonated her own, it would serve the purpose.”
“On our way to Maiduguri, we encountered the military and they were shooting. I was very scared and the people that brought us ran away.”
“I am from Imam Shekau’s faction of Boko Haram, even though I have never seen Shekau. But I hear about him in Gobarawa,” Amina said.
She said that her parents and younger brother, Umar, were all killed when they tried to escape from the Boko Haram enclave where they were held hostage.

He’s always telling me that I’m naive and clueless. But I harbour several deep and dark secrets.
For a start he has no idea that I used to be a sex worker, that I lived off a sugar daddy for years, and that I used to be male.
I was born abroad and declared a boy at birth, but the diagnosis was wrong.
I returned to Britain and had a number of reassignment operations as a youngster to restore me to my true sex.
As a teenager I went off the rails. I ran away from home and got in with a brothel keeper who looked after me. At first I worked on reception, but then I started turning tricks.
I earned some good money too. One day a rich guy walked in and I walked right out with him on my arm. For many years my sugar daddy kept me safe and warm.
Our relationship tragically ended when he died of a heart attack (on the job) and his family refused to recognise me as his heir.
I didn’t have the cash to fight them and met my current boyfriend in a bar. He thinks I’m super sweet. Naturally, I play up to this image he’s created for me, because it gets me stuff (clothes, perfume, jewellery) and makes him adore me more.
But if I were to show him some of the tricks I can do, then he’d have kittens. I’m not ashamed of who I am and what I like, but fear that I’ll frighten him away if I tell him the truth.
My other concern is that some spiteful person might nip in before me and tell him all about my frisky past before I get a chance to hit him with the cleaned up /need to know version.
I really do like this guy and don’t want to screw this one up. How must I play this?

Rest is highly significant of everyone’s health, thus it is necessary to know the recommended sleep hours that the experts advise.
Look at the amount of sleep you will need if you want to have enough energy throughout the day, have greater mental clarity, and get good health.
According to healthyviral24, The recommended sleep time according to age is provided by The National Sleep Foundation.
When we don’t sleep well then we feel tired and have issues concentrating, making decisions, think clearly, and also suffer from lack of appetite. The sleep issues are directly linked to many health issues. If you sleep for less than 5 hours per night your health will be affected. Sleeping for less than 7 hours will promote weight gain, diabetes, and obesity. However, if you know how much rest is enough, will be the first preventive action.
What are the recommended sleep hours according to age?
A professor at the Harvard University, Charles Czeisler, did a research in order to see how much sleep is needed for each individual age group. This and other researches done between 1004 and 2014 showed the following results:
- Newborn (0-3 months) – 14-17 hours;
- Babies (4-11 months) – 12-15 hours;
- Children (1-2 years) – 11-14 hours;
- Preschool (3-5 years) – 10-13 hours;
- School age (6-13 years) – 9-11 hours;
- Teens (14–17 years) – 8-10 hours;
- Youth (18–25 years) – 7-9 hours;
- Adults (26–64 years) – 7-9 hours;
- Seniors (above 65) – 7-8 hours.
These rates are given approximately and every person can present a certain variation in the number of rest hours. If the amount is decreased considerably, it can lead to health problems.
What the main causes of sleep issues are?
Two main factors trigger sleep issues: stress and technology.
- Stress – it releases cortisol, the “stress hormone” and if its levels are elevated, then restful sleep will be prevented, interfering with your feelings and well-being.
- Technology – the light emitted by the devices prevents the brain release the amount of melatonin needed for the body. If we stay in the dark, the body releases more melatonin, and this process is interrupted by the light emitted by our TVs, laptops, and cell phones.
